Prescriptions are generally issued by the doctor subsequent to a consultation taking place. If your doctor thinks it is advisable for you to have a repeat prescription, you will be advised accordingly. Repeat prescription requests should be made AT LEAST 48 HOURS (2 WORKING DAYS) IN ADVANCE.
All repeat prescriptions will have a detacheable sheet listing the medications that have been agreed by your doctor. Requests can be made by detaching these sheets and ticking the items that you require and posting them in the box provided at reception. You could also send them by Royal Mail or by faxing your request. If you wish to have the prescription posted to you, please include a stamped self-addressed envelope and we will be happy to post it to you.
You may also wish to speak to your local chemist who may be in a position to drop and pick up your repeat prescription request prior to dispensing them.
Our legal obligations do not allow us to accept repeat prescriptions over the telephone as this can lead to dangerous errors. For those patients who do not have a slip, they can obtain a repeat prescription form from reception and fill it in legibly giving all the details that are required. Failure to do so could result in delays or in our not being able to fulfill your request. A repeat prescription form is given below should you wish to print it out.
